Glendale Water & Power Annual Report is Winner in
international Communications Competition
Pasadena, Calif. – July 2nd, 2004: The 2001-2002 annual report
for Glendale Water & Power, conceived and written by Geltz Communications,
has received a bronze award in the League of Communications Professionals’
(LACP) “2003 Vision Awards.”
The annual report was termed “excellent – among the competition’s
best” in an announcement of winners by Christine Kennedy, the League’s
competition director.
Based on the theme “Looking to the Future,” the publication was
one of nearly 900 nationwide entries. Judges evaluated the entries based on
eight criteria, including first impressions, creativity, message clarity, information
accessibility and narrative.
2004 marks the second year in a row in which the LACP has honored the Glendale
Water & Power Annual Report. Last year’s report received an “Honors”
award.
Established in 2001, the San Diego-based LACP provides a forum within the public
relations industry to facilitate discussion of best-in-class practices and to
recognize exemplary communications capabilities.
Geltz Communications, certified by the California Public Utilities Commission
as a woman-owned California small business, worked with Glendale Water &
Power to provide concept, content and project management. Geltz, founded in
