Geltz Communications Wins Gold Award in Publicity Materials Competition

PASADENA, CA - October 28, 2003: A customer success story developed by Geltz Communications has won a gold award in the League of American Communications Professionals' "2003 Spotlight Awards," a publicity materials competition that drew entries from nearly 1,000 companies.

Geltz Communications' entry won second place in the customer communications category and was rated as "excellent - among the competition's best." The LACP judges evaluated the entry on eight criteria, including first impressions, creativity, message clarity, information accessibility and narrative.

Geltz Communications also received a "Top 100 Award" for ranking among the highest-scoring entries in the competition.

The winning success story, which was developed for the Small Business Energy Alliance, creatively highlighted the energy and dollar savings experienced by a small business that converted to energy-efficient lighting in their Sonoma, California, clothing store.

The Small Business Energy Alliance uses state-sponsored energy efficiency funds under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission to help small business owners save energy and money.

The League of Communications Professionals was established to create a forum within the public relations industry to facilitate discussion of best-in-class practices within the profession while also recognizing companies that demonstrate exemplary communications capabilities.

Geltz Communications, a certified, woman-owned California small business founded in 1990, is a full-service integrated marketing communications company with a focus on the energy, water and environmental industries.
